UNDFTD x Converse Poor Man Weapon Navy

Last Friday, Undefeated Silverlake played host to the initial release of their Converse Poorman Weapon Navy pack which included shoes, an MA-1 flight jacket and a helmet bag. With a solid turnout, the night also included music courtesy of King Solomon and DJ Muggs of Cypress Hill as well as food and beer via Invicto Tacos and Corona.

NSW 2010 spring collection Tennis classic AC ND

Re-launched prominently with some strong collaborations involving the likes of fragment design, the Nike Sportswear Tennis Classic undergoes the AC/vulcanized treatment in the latest incarnation of the Tennis Classic AC ND. Seen in black and yellow, the perforated Swoosh branding is extremely subtle, leaving any reference to Nike mostly on the block letter logo on the heel.

Pentax Optio I-10

In what was arguably kick started by the Olympus EP-1, retro looks and designs seem to be gaining steam in the world of consumer electronics. This latest camera model from Pentax, the Optio I-10 comes in a definite retro styling which embodies a design style drawn from Pentax’s Auto 110 mico-SLR range. A quick look into the features list includes a 5x zoom covering the equivalent 28-140mm focal length range with a 12 MP sensor. Movie is set at 720 p with three innovative anti-shake technologies built-in. No word yet on a release date.

Converse Year of Tiger

Converse ushers in the next 12 months with its Chinese New Year 2010 Year of the Tiger Collection. Bold Tiger prints grace the collection that features vibrant colors of red, gold, and orange, the most auspicious colors in Chinese culture. The Converse Year of the Tiger Collection pays homage to this important year featuring product from each of Converse’s original franchises including playful editions of the Jack Purcell, Chuck Taylor All Star, One Star and Weapon 86 shoes.

Further elevating this special collection and 2010, the Year of the Tiger collection will come in special packaging design inspired by the age-old Chinese tradition of the “red envelope” to wish fortune and wealth. With a tiger graphic embossed in gold and black, the Converse shoebox is a modern interpretation of the red envelope.

Polaroid Instant Film Camera Re-Launched

Following the widely publicized death of Polaroid film, it appears as the brand (alongside the recent appointing of Lady Gaga as creative director) will re-visit its iconic range of instant film cameras. With a ressurgence in film as of late, perhaps Polaroid will once again re-create the realm of instant film photography. The cameras will take on a retro aesthetic with a reliance on Polaroid 1000 film.

Dorothy Tang x Adidas ObyO star wars campaign

Prior to the global adidas Originals Star Wars Campaign, Hong Kong artist Dorophy Tang has once again joined forces with the sportswear label, this time to recreate a series of vintage Star Wars posters in her signature style. They’re now being exhibited at the adidas Originals Dunhua concept store in China. Here’s a look at them.

Converse RED leather Jacket Chuck Taylor All star

Originally launching only through select (RED) Stores, the latest version of Converse’s Leather Jacket designs is now widely available through finer Converse retailers. The kicks, first introduced in 2008, are now produced in a rich red leather option, comprised of a mot...orcycle leather jacket-inspired motif, with quilted lining, heavy-duty zips and snaps and a leather rand with clean embossed detailing.

New Balance H574 ' Tropical '

Here’s a look at the latest New Balance H574 trail sneaker, with this particular version being part of a pack of “tropically-inspired” kicks. Apart from the usual H574 features such as the hiking boot lace-eyelets on the collars as well as the optional trail laces, this adaption is made up from a mixture of nylon fabric, suede, patent leather and mesh.

Levis Fenom Five star

Following a theme most recently seen this past season, Levi’s Fenom drops a new version of its Five Star denim, this time in a printed format rather than the past embroidered version. The jeans take on a distressed look with both a 505 and 207 cut made available, each also boasting signature fragment design details.

Burberry 2010 spring

Burberry welcomes its Spring 2010 season with a new editorial campaign by the label’s creative director Christopher Bailey. Shot by Mario Testino, the shoot features a star studden cast of British talent, including Max Hurd, musicians George Craig and Matt Gilmour, as well as a grown up Emma Watson alongside her brother Alex.
