Some of you will remember the 100% release back in September and now the 400% will follow. The design is an homage to Beams’ Harajuku store, CultuArt whose 1st anniversary is just around the corner. The Be@rbrick will be available imminently for around $95.

Converse Japan

Brand new from Converse Japan are these Jack Purcells. Paradoxically capturing both a more formal and a casual aesthetic the shoes appear to be a refined, more sophisticated version of the iconic chuck taylor boot. Stand out features include the stretchy-rubber on the sides of the shoe, allowing for ease of movement, as well as the prominent heel tab and cylindrical laces to match the boot.

Jeremy Scott x adidas O by O 2010

The psychedelic craziness isn’t restricted to footwear for Mr. Jeremy Scott. The celebrated happy nutty British collaborator for adidas Originals by Originals line takes his boundless imagination and to the top (and by top, we really mean apparel). This time around, instead of simply swirling colors from all spectrum and employing exaggerated shapes, the collection seems to have undergone a strange time warp, reviving inspiration and familiar looks from different eras and styles, but nonetheless staying with the program of opulent glamor rock. Think this year’s hit menswear vest with an extended tuxedo tail, paired with embroidered tassels a la Michael Jackson; putting the boho luxe tough on the classic track jacket with dramatically decorated embroidered shoulder panels; fringe layered hoodies a la the 20s flappers; stars, studs and lace on iconic sportswear items such as track suits and hockey jerseys; a surf suit inspired dress embellished with lingerie details slight reminiscent of Madonna’s famed cone bra and recent runway favorite of lingerie dressing; and track pants featuring adidas logo done up in drippy B-movie typeface. The collection is a eclectic one which magically enveloped multiple major trends of the century into a single line-up. Of course, putting the Jeremy Scott sense of humor back, there is also a singlet featuring Mr. Scott balling in leopard print tight pants. In usual Scott fashion, nothing is subtle– why should anything be?– every item makes a loud statement…albeit the meaning of that statement isn’t always clear through bedazzling exterior. Whatever it is, it’s a party-ready collection for the courageous fashion-minded beings constantly seeking to experiment and wow.

Gemballa x Ferrari

Middle East have been known for their fair share of exclusive luxury car culture with super cars being a dime a dozen. So do an individual stay apart from the usual crowd of Ferraris and Lamborghinis? Put a one off kit by Germany’s finest Gemballa. Although Porsches are synonymous with Gemballa but they have prepared this one of MIG-U1 for their distributor in Dubai for the upcoming auto show.
No details have been released yet as they want to keep it under wraps until the actual launch, however from the looks of it from photos the exterior of the Ferrari has been given an extreme make over that look like it may transform into a robot any minute with exaggerated body kit, wing, wide fenders and exhaust pipes. The interior has been given a substantial face lift with upholstery upgrade as well as LCD screen that takes charge of the in car entertainment system.

Cool Rain x Cineli - Custom FIXED GEAR

Korea is one of the cities that have a strong fixed gear culture and this latest handmade figure and bicycle by Cool Rain is gaining interest not only by street culture but with Italian cycle giant Cinelli as well. What started out as a capsule collection made by Cool Rain for a Korean street oriented retailer Kasina have been blowing up on the internet resulting in an official work with Cinelli that should be revealed sometime in 2010. The photo shows a custom handmade Vigorelli frame which is one of Cinelli’s popular frames sporting the traditional blue/white color combination. Stay tuned for more developments in the near future.

Stussy x Ricoh

Let the collaborative floodgates open in anticipation of Stussy’s 30th anniversary in 2010. Despite the advent of new and arguably better-quality digital camera systems such as Micro 4/3rds, there’s without a doubt a soft spot for many with the fixed lens Ricoh GRD series. The razor quick focus and high-quality black & white photographs are among the GRDIII’s high points making it a great street compact camera. As well, un-like other cameras in its class, the GRDIII’s barrel retracts into its body for a small footprint. In May, Stussy and Ricoh will drop a limited run of 500 cameras as Stussy’s re-design includes the use of blue and other iconic imagery throughout.

BAPE x Fujitsu Notebook

Nigo previews a new 2010 collaboration from BAPE, alongside computer company Fujitsu. No further information is available at the moment, but stay tuned.

BAPESTA TIGER

With a series of Tiger products coming out of A Bathing Ape (BAPE), it is a natural progression for these BAPESTA Tiger to come out to compliment the outer items. It is good to see that they have chosen a not so overboard colorway for this pair and kept it basic in grey and white colors. With the cool tones of the sneaker the Tiger face graphic takes all the attention with it covering the majority of the side of the heel panel. On the heel patch the standard BAPE logo is replaced with a custom military style star and circle graphic. Additional to the normal white shoe laces, another pair of matching grey laces are included as extras.

BE@RBRICK SERIES 19

Be@rbrick series 19 will be release on 22 December 2009

Subcrew x adFunture

Hong Kong-based Subcrew is set to release the following “Working Below the Hype” vinyl toy in conjunction with toy-makers adFunture. The two-piece set includes adFunture’s signature Yoka bear alongside an all new debuting submarine shark. The toy will release on December 18th, 2009 with a retail price of $450 HKD.

CONVERSE x FRAGMENT DESIGN

CONVERSE and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design have come together once again to create another pair of collaborative kicks. This time around, the duo contributes to the rare pool of navy shoes with a pair of monochrome tonal navy Chuck Taylor Low, after the black and red pair from before. Everything from the canvas upper down to the eyelets, laces and toebox are kept clean and classic in navy, balanced with crisp white soles with a navy piping in the midsole. fragment design’s signature lightning bolt logo stays small and subtle at the heel of the shoes and the tongue tag is kept clean in all navy as well. Though the kicks seem perfect for summer to go along with the delightful nautical looks, these will work nicely with winter corduroys. They are due to drop on Dec. 26 at DQM, if not for yourself, then as a belated Christmas present– pretty certain the receiver won’t mind since good things are worth waiting for.
